General questions about the trajectory
This trajectory is designed for those who would like to learn more about didactics in education. The trajectory is appropriate for teachers tutors, and PhD candidates, who are focusing on the delivery of education. If you are currently coordinating a course in addition to teaching, the UTQ is more appropriate.
Yes. If you want to start the University Delivery Qualification trajectory you are required to teach in the upcoming 4 months from the start date of the trajectory. This is required so that a lesson observation can be done, which is part of the program. Attendance of all sessions in mandatory to complete the trajectory.
Yes. With the University Delivery Qualification, you can complete the Delivery part of the UTQ and receive a Nationally acknowledged certificate. You will receive the certificate at the during of the inspiration session.
You can send an email to your tutor/ PhD coordinator or contact training@risbo.eur.nl to register yourself.
We are currently assuming a total time of about 30-35 hours, including attending the sessions.
Questions about the content of the trajectory
The starting point for choosing a cohort is that you can attend all sessions. Should you fall ill one time during the trajectory or is there another unexpected event, please contact your trainer to find a suitable solution.
If you miss more than 1 meeting, you have to quit the trajectory and sign up for a new cohort.
The trajectory consists of three half-day training sessions, which focus on basic didactics, delivery of education, and practicing with your own mini-instruction. In addition, you follow a MicroLab focused on group dynamics or how to supervise a thesis student. Within this trajectory there will also be an in-class observation. Finally, there is a final inspiration session in which you will also receive your certificate.
You can choose from the Microlabs ''how to supervise students'' and ''how to manage group dynamics in the classroom''. You can also choose to follow both MicroLabs.
This is not possible, because we believe that you can incorporate learning points from the trajectory into the delivery of a teaching session. It is therefore valuable to plan your observation after the third training session (mini instructions), to incorporate the feedback received.
An educational consult of Risbo will come to your class for the observation. The session will be video recorded, and you will be asked to reflect on your teaching. Afterwards a meeting will be scheduled where the trainer will provide you with feedback and where you will reflect on your lesson.
You will make a lesson plan for the lecture of the observation and send that to the trainer via email to the trainer who will do the observation.
To receive feedback on your Proof of Competence you need to upload your PoC in the portfolio system and notify your trainer. The trainer will give feedback and upload the feedback form back in the portfolio system. When you have incorporated the feedback, upload the new version again in the portfolio system and update to your trainer again.
The session will be 1 hour where your lessons learned, what you’ve applied in practice, and sharing your best practices to inspire your peers by making a poster.
Last but not least, it’s a festive moment as it concludes the trajectory, and you will receive your certificate!
