The power of visuals

A well chosen visual contributes to good teaching, a powerful inaugural lecture or an accessible research report. That's why Risbo offers “a visualization service. After all, an illustration, animation, drawing or infographic works incredibly well to convey knowledge, especially when it comes to complex concepts. It shouldn't just be pretty or fun, it should really work for you. Good images provide context, give meaning and increase the learning effect. Both in research and in education.

Risbo's design team

Risbo's design team consists of Romy, Sandra, Emma, Esther, Katja and Jana: Risbo consultants who combine their educational expertise and research experience with their graphic skills. They help you as a client to create or choose an image that adds value: a visual that captures the essence but leaves out unnecessary details, does justice to the complexity of the story and connects with the target audience.

Do it yourself during a Spark session

Do you enjoy creating visuals for your teaching or presentation materials? Then a Spark session is perfect for you! In a short session of 1.5 to 2 hours, we will teach you the basics of drawing while you engage in various drawing exercises.

Next, you’ll get hands-on and work on visually developing concepts yourself. You don’t need to be a Rembrandt to do this—just bring your enthusiasm! We often see participants start off hesitantly, only to finish with energy and inspiration.

Good to know: We also offer Spark sessions for teams, for example, to visually capture new team agreements (ways of working) or an educational vision. This way, you’ll literally keep your policies and guidelines in view
