Introduction
Feedback is only effective when students act upon it and when it is given during the learning process. As teachers, your role in enhancing students' learning experience through sustainable feedback is crucial. Not only by providing them with constructive feedback, but also by creating an environment in which students can actively engage in the feedback process and develop their self-regulation skills.
Assessment can give direction and focus to learning. An assessment should be part of a process or dialogue of feedback. We believe it is important that the assessment provides information that contributes to the student's self-direction in the further learning process. To this end, it is important that the assessment provides, detailed and valid information. This means that not only the assessment, but also the grading process needs to reliable, transparent and FAIR. This MicroLab therefore focusses on optimizing individual feedback & grading processes.

Content, form and time investment
This MicroLab has a blended set-up; you start with an online preparation in Canvas. In a two-and-a-half-hour session we will dive deep into individual feedback and grading processes, providing you with actionable strategies that you can implement immediately. To make the most of our time together, please ensure you complete the preparatory assignments. During the session, we will build upon these assignments to deepen your understanding and refine your approach to feedback and grading. The total time investment is approximately 6-8 hours (preparation, MicroLab session, Proof of Competence).
Earn an Edubadge
You finish the MicroLab with a Proof of Competence. You will then receive an Edubadge. This is a digital, visual certificate which you can share on e.g. LinkedIn. Interested parties can immediately click on the certificate to find out what you have done to achieve the EduBadge.
