Monitoring

Markthal Rotterdam

Risbo has a great deal of knowledge and experience in developing monitoring instruments and carrying out (policy) monitors. Monitors are often very practical for policy makers in order to map policy effects and to identify (policy) relevant developments at an early stage. The results of monitors can then be used to adjust policy in good time.

Risbo uses various data sources for monitoring. Data are often collected using structured surveys, which are conducted in writing, by telephone or online. Information from registers such as microdata available from the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) is also used.

Basic Monitor Rotterdam South

Since 2015, Risbo has been charting the state of education in Rotterdam South in the so-called Basic Monitor Rotterdam South. This is done in collaboration with Research and Business Intelligence (OBI) of the Municipality of Rotterdam and commissioned by the National Program Rotterdam South (NPRZ). Within the study, various aspects of education in Rotterdam South are presented and compared with the situation in the seven focus districts, other Rotterdam, Rotterdam as a whole, the four large cities on average and the situation in the Netherlands.

Monitor Social Inclusion Roma and Sinti

Risbo is also responsible for a qualitative monitor that focuses on the social position of Roma and Sinti in the Netherlands. Together with Labyrinth research and consultancy, Risbo charts the development of Roma and Sinti in areas such as education, employment and housing. This research has also been ongoing since 2015.

Previously, Risbo has developed and implemented several diverse, practice-oriented monitors. For example, Risbo was responsible for the design and implementation of the Student Monitor commissioned by the Ministry of OCW (1998-2000, 2001-2003), the Logistics Quality Monitor commissioned by Delft University of Technology (2004-2009) and, in the field of migration and integration, the Monitor Aanpak Risicojongeren commissioned by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment (2010-2013).
