Didactics of Delivery in Education

The Didactics of Delivery in Education (DDE) trajectory is a new trajectory for beginning lecturers, for example tutors and PhD students, who would like to improve their didactical skills. The DDE-trajectory focuses on basic didactical skills, like motivating students, active learning, inclusive education, and presenting new information effectively. 

Most tutors and PhD students have teaching commitments besides their research-work at universities. Their focus lies mainly on the delivery of education and not necessarily on things like designing course objectives and assessments. Therefore, the DDE trajectory was created especially for this target group. The DDE trajectory results in the partial UTQ certificate. This  exempts participants from the 'delivery' part of the University Teaching Qualification trajectory (UTQ), both at the EUR as well as at other universities, should they want to follow that trajectory later on. 

Course structure

The DDE-trajectory consists of the following elements:

1. 3 training sessions of half a day, focusing on basic didactics (Blended set-up, Peer learning and Practicing with a mini-instruction).
2. Following either the MicroLab 'How to supervise students' or the MicroLab 'How to integrate formative assessment into your course'.
3. An observation of each participant while teaching.
4. A Proof of Competence.
5. An inspiration session to share lessons learned and best practices, and to festively conclude with awarding the certificates.

Registration

EUR Faculties can apply with a group for a DDE-trajectory, with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 participants.
